Item Conversion Master – Overview  

The Item Conversion Master in Gofrugal HQ is used to define how an item’s basic quantity and UOM (Unit of Measurement) are mapped to business-specific units.

Different organizations may follow different measurement standards. This screen helps align the basic volume/quantity and base UOM of an item with the operational unit structure used in the business.

Business Example  

• In one business:
  1 Kilogram = 1 Unit

• In another business:
  5 Kilograms = 1 Unit

Using Item Conversion Master, you can configure such relationships according to your operational requirements.

How to Configure Item Conversion Master in HQ  

To configure the Item Conversion Master in GOFRUGAL HQ:

1. Navigate to BPM > Recipe Management > Item Conversion master.

2. Click the Add button.

3. Choose the required Item Name from the list.
   For this example, we have selected Almond.

4. Fill in the following fields:

• Base Volume / Qty = 1000

• Base UOM / Pack = ML

• Volume / Qty = 1

• Pack / UOM = UNIT

• UOM Rate = 0

• Allowed UOM = Purchase, Sales (as required)

• Select the Applies Online checkbox

5. Click the + (Add) action to insert another row.

6. Enter the following details:

• Base Volume / Qty = 1

• Base UOM / Pack = Liter

• Volume / Qty = 1

• Pack / UOM = UNIT

• UOM Rate = 0

• Allowed UOM = Purchase, Sales (as required)

• Select the Applies Online checkbox

7. Click the Save button to store the conversion details.

A confirmation message will appear stating “Item Conversion Master Saved Successfully”, indicating that the conversion details have been saved successfully.

8. Use the available filters to search for the required item conversion record.

9. Click the Edit button to modify the existing Item Conversion Master details.

10. Make the necessary changes, then click the Update button to save the revised configuration.

11. Click the Send to Outlet or Send to Selected Outlet button to transmit the Item Conversion Master to the respective outlets.
