How to create Matrix or Serialized Items from the Item Master in HQ?
To create matrix items, do the following:
Enter the item name and other necessary details.
Select the Item Product Type as Matrix.
Click on the blank field of the Default List Value and select what you need from the list.
Click on the Other List Values field and start selecting what you need.
When you are done, click Save to complete the process.
If you want to create a new combination for the categories from the same screen, just click + next to the appropriate option.
Then put the value of the category/attribute and click Save.
See the below screenshot to see how the newly created value is displayed on the item master screen.
Enter the rest of the details as needed and click Save.
To create serialized items, do the following:
Enter the item name and other details in the appropriate fields.
Select the product type as Serialized.
The Choose No Of Serial Number box will be auto populated in the Item Properties section by default.
Enter the rest of the details as needed and click Save.
To set the desired number of serial numbers, do the following:
Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Masters.
Search for the keyword "serial" in the All-Item Master Configurations search bar.
Click on the Default Value field and change it as needed.
Once the change is done, click Save Configuration to save the changes.
