Item Classifier Master (Kitchen Print Routing) – Overview
The Item Classifier, commonly known as Kitchen Print Routing, is a feature in RPOS6 that helps organize items and route Order Taken / KOT prints to the appropriate kitchen printer.
The Item Classifier Master in Gofrugal HQ allows Head Office (HQ) to create and manage classifier master's centrally and distribute them to all or selected outlets.
What is Item Classifier?
Item Classifier groups items logically so that each group can be mapped to a specific kitchen printer.
Example Classifiers
Vegetarian → All vegetarian dishes
Non-Vegetarian → All non-veg dishes
Desserts → All dessert items
Beverages → All drink items
Each classifier can be linked to a specific printer, ensuring correct kitchen routing.
Business Scenario
A restaurant has four separate kitchens:
Vegetarian Kitchen
Non-Vegetarian Kitchen
Dessert Section
Beverage Counter
When an order is place, the KOT print to be routed automatically, and printed only in the relevant kitchen. This requirement is achieved using:
Item Classifier Master (HQ)
Print Profile mapping (Outlet POS)
Each item category is mapped to its respective classifier and printer. As a result:
Vegetarian items print only in the Vegetarian kitchen.
Non-veg items print only in the Non-Veg kitchen.
Desserts print only in the Dessert section.
Beverages print only at the Beverage counter.

Next Step
Now, let's explore how to create and configure the Item Classifier Master from HQ, step by step.
Navigate to MDM > Item Master Management > Item Classifier Master.
Click the Add button to create a new Item Classifier.
Enter the required Group Name in the top-right corner to define the new Item Classifier group.
To add items to the classifier, type the Item Name in the search box and click the+ (Plus) icon to add the item to the selected Item Classifier group.
Note: After adding the items, they will be listed in the Item Details section.
The + icon will change to a green ✔ indicating successful addition.
If you wish to remove the selected item, click the red X icon to cancel the selection.
Click the Save button to save the Item Classifier Master configuration.
A confirmation message will appear stating, “The group has been saved successfully.”, indicating that the Item Classifier Master has been created successfully.
Verify the newly created Item Classifier in the list, then click the Send to Outlet button to distribute the master to all configured outlets.
Once synchronization from HQ to the outlet is completed, the Item Classifier will be available in the outlet POS.
Follow the steps below to verify the Item Classifier at the outlet POS.
Navigate to Sales > Masters > Modifier/Classifier > Item Classifier.
Click the View button to display the list of available Item Classifier Masters in the outlet POS.
Select the required Item Classifier Name from the list. The corresponding item names mapped to that classifier will be displayed on the screen.
