Shape Charge Master – Overview  

In bakery operations, Shape Charges refer to additional charges applied when customers request cakes or baked items in special shapes, such as stars, hearts, or octagons. These custom shapes are commonly ordered for birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.

Using the Shape Charge Master in GOFRUGAL HQ, you can define different shapes along with their respective additional charges. These configured charges are then automatically applied during billing when the selected shape is used.

Next step  

To configure the Shape Charge Master in GOFRUGAL HQ:

1. Open the HQ and navigate to MDM > Shape Charge Master.

2. Enter the Shape Name and Shape Short Name, then select the required Charge Type.

Choose whether the charge should be applied as an Amount (fixed value) or as a Percentage of the item price, based on your pricing policy.

3. Enter the Charge Value, set the Status as Active or Inactive as required, then click the Add button to save the shape charge configuration.

Note: Verify that the Butterfly shape charge has been added successfully. A confirmation popup will appear displaying the message “Shape created successfully”.

Note: To modify an existing shape charge, click the Edit button, make the necessary changes, then click the Save button to update the configuration.

A confirmation popup will appear displaying the message “Shape updated successfully”, indicating that the changes have been saved.

Now, let's explore how the Shape Charge functions at the Outlet POS, step by step.

1. Open the outlet POS and navigate to Sales > Masters > Shapes/Charges Master.

2. Press the F5 (View) button and check the LOV (List of Values) to verify whether the newly created Shape and its corresponding charges are reflected in the POS.

Note: Verify the complete details that have been downloaded from HQ to ensure the Shape Name, Charge Type, Charge Value, and Status are correctly reflected at the outlet POS.

3. Go to the Restaurant Billing screen and press the F1 – Shape Charge key to load and apply the available shape charges during billing.

4. Select the required shape charge (for example, Butterfly) from the list to apply it to the bill.

Note: The selected shape charge has been applied as an additional fee, which increases the overall bill total accordingly.

5. Click the F6 (Save) button to save and complete the bill.

6. Enter the amount received, then click the Done button to complete the payment and finalize the bill.

The Shape Charge Master in GOFRUGAL HQ enables businesses—especially bakeries—to define and manage additional charges for customized product shapes.

Using this feature, you can:

• Create different shape types (e.g., Heart, Star, Butterfly, Octagon)
