Dynamic Combo for Assorted Sweet Boxes (ServEasy)  

During festive seasons, sweet shops commonly receive requests for assorted sweet boxes—where customers choose multiple sweets packed together for quick sale. These assortments often include piece-based items (like laddus or barfis) and weight-based items (sold in grams or KG).

This requirement can be handled efficiently using the Dynamic Combo feature available in GoFRUGAL ServEasy.

What is Dynamic Combo?  

Dynamic Combo allows you to create a flexible combo item where the contents are selected at the time of billing, instead of being fixed in advance.

This is ideal for sweet shops that sell:

• Sweets by count (pieces)

• Sweets by weight (grams/KG)

• Custom assortments based on customer preference

How it works in a sweet shop  

1. Create a Dynamic Combo item (for example, Festive Sweet Box).

2. During billing, select the Dynamic Combo item.

3. Choose the sweets required for the box:

• Add piece-based items (e.g., 4 laddus)

• Add weight-based items (e.g., 250 g kaju katli)

4. The system dynamically calculates the total price based on selected items and quantities.

5. Complete the bill quickly without manual calculations.

Prerequisites:

1. Activating Dynamic Combo from the Item Master - Manage Tab.

• Navigate to Inventory > Masters > Item Master.

• Press Ctrl + F4 to open the Manage tab.

• Search for Packing Details and click the option under Captions.

• Search for Dynamic Combo under the Original Caption section and tick the checkbox to activate it.

• Click the Apply button to save the changes.

2. Activating “Load Combo Items in LOV” Configuration.

• Navigate to Tools > Configuration Manager > Configuration.

• Search for the keyword “Combo”.

• Activate the Load combo items in LOV option by setting its value to Enable.

Now, let us understand how to create and sell Dynamic Combo items in ServEasy, step by step.

1. Navigate to Inventory > Masters > Item Master.

2. Under Packing Details, set the Preparation Status to Combo and set Dynamic Combo to Dynamic All Items.

3. Press F6 to save the changes.

Note: Dynamic All Items means the system will consider all items while selling a Dynamic Combo item.

Now, let us understand how to sell Dynamic Combo items (Dynamic All Items) in ServEasy.

1. Navigate to Sales > Bill Entry.

2. When you add a Dynamic Combo item to the bill, the Combo Pack selection window will appear, allowing you to choose the required items for the combo.

3. Enter the required quantity, select the required items, and then click the Update button to apply the selections.

Note: The amount is automatically calculated as the total value of all items included in the box.

4. After all the items are loaded, press F6 (Tender) to save and complete the bill.

In Step 2 of the Dynamic Combo item master creation, we set the Dynamic Combo option as Dynamic – All Items.

Apart from this, there is another available option called Dynamic Mapped Item.

This option allows you to control which specific items can be included in a Dynamic Combo, instead of allowing all items to be selected during billing.

The next step is to set up the Combo Pack.To configure this, follow the steps given below.

1. Navigate to Inventory > Masters > Combopack Configuration.

2. Select the Combo item, enter the selling price, specify the maximum quantity, and then add all the items that should be included in this Dynamic Combo item.

3. Press F6 to save the changes.

Now, let us understand how to sell Dynamic Combo items (Dynamic Mapped Item) in ServEasy.

1. Navigate to Sales > Bill Entry.

2. Select the Dynamic Combo item, choose the required items.

Note: In this case, only the items that are configured for the Combo item will be displayed for selection.

3. Click the Update button to apply the selections.

4. After all the items are loaded, press F6 (Tender) to save and complete the bill.

Note: Any item can be added as Dynamic Quantity or Pieces.

After saving the bill and completing the tender process, the system will display the list of item code details.
