A Sales Quotation in POS may be cancelled if the customer does not confirm the purchase, requests major changes in items/quantities, price negotiations fail, or the quotation validity period expires.
Steps to cancel a Sales Quotation -
After clicking Sales > Sales Quotation
Press CTRL + F3 Cancel.
Quotation Details pop-up appears.
Select a Quot No to be cancelled.
The Quotation screen displays the details of the selected Quote in [CANCEL] mode.
Press F6 or click Save to cancel the sales quotation.
The Cancel Remarks dialog appears.
Specify the reasons for cancelling and click OK.
Press F6 or click Save to confirm cancellation.
The "Quotation No <<Quote No>> cancelled" message appears.
Click OK.
FAQ's
Can We restore or revise a cancelled quotation?
You cannot restore or revise a Quotation after cancellation.
A Particular quotation is showing in View mode but not in Cancel mode, Why?
If a Sales quotation is converted into a Sale order or Sale bill, then the quotation will not be available in cancel mode. You can check the status of the Sale quotation in Reports -> Sales -> Orders and Quotations -> Quotation summary. In the status column, if the Status is in "Pending", only then the quotation applicable to be cancelled.
