Item vs Conversion/UOM
Use Item vs Conversion/UOM screen to map the basic quantity of the recipe item to the number of units. Different organization have various UOM for the product needs. This screen is used to map the basic volume/quantity and basic UOM of item to the volume/quantity and number of units pertaining to the product. For e.g. one business has one kilogram equal to one unit of measurement and another business has five kilograms equal to one unit of measurement according to the product needs.
Steps for Item Conversion Master -
- Click Inventory > Masters > Conversion [UOM] > Item vs Conversion/UOM.
- The Item vs UOM/Packing screen is displayed.
- In the Item vs UOM/Packing section -
- In the Code field, press ENTER. A list of Products List is displayed, select the product.
- Click Toggle or press F8 key to toggle in between the screens.
- In the Details section -
- In the Volume/Qty field, enter the volume or quantity amount.
- In the Base UOM/Pack field, press ENTER. A list of Select UOM / Packing screen is displayed. Select the unit of measurement.
- In the UOM / Pack field, enter the unit of measurement or pack.
Example: 1 KG is base, unit i.e 1 and 1000 GRAM is sub unit of KG, i.e 1KG
- Click Toggle or press F8 key to toggle in between screens.
- The Sub UOM field is read-only and automatically displayed.
- The Status field is read-only and shows the status of the item. For e.g - Mapped.
- Click Save or press F6 key to save the details.
- A message 'Data updated' is displayed. Click Yes.
- Click Exit or press F12 key to close the screen.
- A confirmation message is displayed. Click Yes.
In many cases, You may need to give rate based on UOM. For example you may sell a box which contains 10 piece to Rs.1000 but based on conversion, one piece rate will be 100 by default, But you may need to sell piece for 110, then you can use UOM rate.
To use the feature, you have to be in recent version of RPOS6.
In same screen you will find a column for a giving a UOM rate.
