Q2. Sales man Commission Calculation
→ Salesman Commission – Loop-Based Calculation (Commission Applies to Each)Unlike the standard commission setup, which applies commission based on a single slab or row, this feature calculates commission in a looped manner based on the starting range defined in the Salesman Commission setup.
Example Scenario 1 (Based on Amount):
Enable the 'Commission Applies to Each' option.
Set the Commission Type as Amount.
Choose Target Type as Amount.
Define the commission as Rs.10/-, with:
Target From = 1
Target To = 1000
This setup implies that the system will calculate the difference:
Target To - Target From = 1000 - 1 = 999
Now, during billing, the system checks the Net Amount of the bill. For every Rs.999 in the net amount, it applies Rs.10 as commission.
So, if the Net Amount is Rs.2500, the calculation will be:
→ Rs.2500 ÷ Rs.999 ≈ Rs.30 commission
Another Example Scenario (Based on Amount):
Enable the 'Commission Applies to Each' option.
Set the Commission Type as Amount.
Choose Target Type as Amount.
Define the commission as Rs.10/-, with:
Target From = 1000
Target To = 1500
This setup implies that the system will calculate the difference:
Target To - Target From = 1500 - 1000 = Rs.500/-
Now, during billing, the system checks the Net Amount of the bill. For every Rs.500/- in the net amount after the minimum 'Target From' amount, it applies Rs.10/- as commission.
So, if the Net Amount is Rs.2250/-, the calculation will be :
As it reaches Rs.1000/- the commission will calculate as Rs.10/-
Then for each Rs.500/- the commission will calculate as Rs.10/- so here the net amount is Rs.2250 the commission calculate as Rs.30/-
Example Scenario 2 (Based on Quantity) :
Unlike the standard commission setup, which applies commission based on a single slab or row, this feature calculates commission in a looped manner based on the starting range defined in the Salesman Commission setup.
Example Scenario 2 (Based on Quantity):
Enable the 'Commission Applies to Each' option.
Set the Commission Type as Amount.
Choose Target Type as Quantity.
Define the commission as Rs.10/-, with:
Target From = 5qty
Target To = 10qty
This setup implies that the system will calculate as :
If the quantity reaches 5 it will calculate 10rs then for each quantity it will calculate 10rs. As an example I have entered a sales bill of 12qty and the commission calculate, as it reaches 5qty 10rs then for each qty till 12qty the commission calculate as 10rs so totally the commission calculate Rs.80/-
Note :
* If you enable the 'Commission Applies to Each' then to end point will not be considered, If you set the 'Target To' as for amount means and then the bill is Rs.1000/, then the commission will be calculated for the entire amount Rs.10000/-, same as for quantity as well that it wont consider the 'Target To' quantity.
