Create Gift Voucher as Item Master [HQ]

Gift vouchers created in the Head Office (HO) may have an expiry date, depending on the value chosen in the Gift Voucher Validation Required field in the Item Master Add window.

To create an Item Master as a gift voucher, you need to enable two Master configurations.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Masters.

  1. Search for the keyword gift in the All Item Master Configurations search box.

  2. Click on the check boxes beside the Gift Voucher Validity Based On and Gift Voucher Validation Required options.

Note: You can set default values based on your preference.

  1. Click Save Configuration.

To create a gift voucher master from the item master:

  1. Set up an Item Master with the Item Product Type as Gift Voucher.

  1. In the Gift Voucher Validation Required field, turn the toggle option ON or OFF:

  • Toggle OFF: No validation needed for the gift voucher.

  • Toggle ON: Validation is required for the gift voucher.

  1. If you turned the toggle ON for validation, choose an option in the Gift Voucher Valid Based on field:

  • Voucher Creation Date: This is the date you create the gift voucher.

  • Sales Date: This is the date you sell the gift voucher.

  1. Fill in the other required fields and click Save.
