The EAN Code Master in GoFrugal HQ is a cornerstone of efficient inventory management. By accurately tracking products and streamlining operations, it empowers businesses to make data-driven decisions and improve their bottom line.
Let's take a look at how to add/create the EAN Code Master in HQ:
Navigate to MDM > Item Master Management > EAN Code Master
Click the Bulk add/Update EAN Code button.
Note: The Bulk EANCode Creation option will be selected automatically. Additionally, you can check if the EAN Configuration is set to Duplicate Allowed.
Select the Item Name from the list. After selecting the item, the item code will be loaded on the screen automatically.
Type or scan the EAN code in the EAN Code field, then add the Rate and UOM Type.
Click the Save button.
Let's take a look at how to update the EAN Code Master in HQ:
Click the dropdown and select Bulk EANCode Update.
Search for the items and click the check box under the Delete column.
Click the Save button.
Here are some various methods to exploring/searching items in the EAN Code Master at HQ
Manual Search:
Type the name of the item in the search box. The item names will be filtered on the screen automatically.
CSV Filter Button:
Click the CSV Filter button.
Click the Download Template button.
Make sure to look in your browser's download folder and click on the file you just downloaded.
To filter the EAN codes you need, simply scan or enter them into the CSV file, then save your changes.
Click the Choose File button to find the file you downloaded.
Find the file in your downloads folder and click the Open button.
Note: The EAN codes from the CSV file will all appear on the screen.
Adjust/modify the necessary EAN codes as required, then click the Save button to implement the changes.
Let's take a look at how the Go to Row Number box works
Find the Go to Row Number box and enter the desired row number; this will direct you to that specific row. Refer to the screenshots below for assistance.

Enter the desired row number in the Go to Row Number field to navigate to that specific row.
We will now explore the process of bulk importing EAN codes along with their associated rates to streamline the bulk import of EAN code rates
Click the Import CSV button.
Note: For your reference, we used the EAN codes 8921251 and 123456 to illustrate the process.
Click the Download Template button.
Make sure to look in your browser's download folder and click on the file you just downloaded.
You can either type or scan EAN codes along with their corresponding rates into the CVS file.
Click the Choose File button to find the file you downloaded.
Find the file in your downloads folder and click the Open button.
Note: You will see a message saying 'Updated Successfully' right below the Choose File button. Please also note that the rates remain unchanged.
Load the rates on the screen by clicking the Load Items button.
Click the Save button to store your changes.
Note: A 'Your changes have been made successfully' message will appear on screen.
Once you've completed all the changes, click Send to Outlet to share the updated EAN codes and their corresponding rates with all or selected outlets.
