How to allow/disallow the screen access in GoSure web-app using Security manager?


Security management is one essential aspect of ERP and is a must to look for in the billing software. Gofrugal ERP has always been bundled with all necessary security features focusing more on preventing security breaches, and employee threats in businesses.


One such option provided in the Gofrugal ERP is restricting the users from accessing selective screens by enabling/disabling them in the "Security manager", which everyone must be aware.

 

We currently have enhanced the security of GoSure too by bringing all the screen's access under the 'Security manager.'

 

Benefits of listing GoSure in Security manager:


With this new feature, you can customize the access of GoSure web-app screens to the employees, by enabling/disabling the screens based on the need. Doing this, will ensure that only required data is accessible to the appropriate person, and thus prevent data breaches by employees. You can be relaxed without worrying about misuse of important business information by your staff.

 

Steps involved in using configuring the access for GoSure:


Step 1: Go to Tools --> Security controller --> Security manager. You will see a list of users displayed as shown in the below image. Click on "Menu configure" icon against the users mapped for GoSure.


Note: Verify if the 'Security Type' is selected as 'User', by clicking on Settings icon at the top-right and selecting 'Security type'

 

 


Step 2: You will see a list of menus displayed, and you can find "Inventory" as one of the menus in the list. Expand the list by clicking on the icon in the right against the menu "Inventory".

 

 

Step 3: In the exploded list, you will see "GOFRUGAL GoSure". Expand the list by clicking on the icon in the right against the field  "GOFRUGAL GoSure", to know the various facets in GoSure.


Step 4: As of now, you will see the product "StockTake" listed. To explode and know the screens under StockTake, click on the icon at the right corner under 'Custom settings/ menu. (highlighted in red below)

 

 


Step 5: You will see all the screens in StockTake, listed in the next screen, with an option to view the individual buttons or tabs by clicking the icon in the right under 'Custom settings' menu.

 

 


Step 6: You will be able to customize the access for web-app to each of the above screens in StockTake. You can enable tick under "Enable" column to make enable the access to that button or tab or report under that particular screen in StockTake. In contrast, if you want to disable the screen access and restrict the selected user from accessing a tab or button or report, you can remove the tick under the "Enable" column.
