DC Category Mapping in Gofrugal HQ allows Head Office (HO) users to map item categories to specific Distribution Centers (DCs). This mapping determines which DC supplies which categories to outlets, ensuring accurate replenishment, smoother logistics, and better inventory control across the retail network.

Purpose of DC Category Mapping  

• Control category-wise supply from DCs to outlets.

When an outlet raises a stock request for Electronics, the system automatically routes the request to DC – West, ensuring accurate, automated, and category-specific fulfillment.

To perform DC Category Mapping in Gofrugal HQ:

1. Navigate to MDM > Attribute Master Management > Item Attribute Master.

2. Click Edit button.

3. Locate the Applies for Indent option and set it as Yes.

4. Click the Update button to save the changes.

5. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > DC Category Mapping.

Note: If Applies for Indent is not enabled for any category, a popup message will appear on the screen. In such cases, follow Step 1 to edit the category and activate the Applies for Indent option.

6. Map the DC Warehouse with the required categories, then click the Save button to complete the configuration.

Once the mapping is completed, a confirmation popup will be displayed on the screen indicating that the DC Category Mapping has been saved successfully.
