Now, let's see how to configure Item Unicode Mapping in Gofrugal HQ, step by step.
Navigate to MDM > Item master Management > Item - Unicode Mapping.
Note: By default, English will be selected as the language, and all items will be displayed on the screen accordingly.
Select the required Category from the list to filter and display the corresponding items for Unicode mapping.
Select the required Category Value from the chosen category to further narrow down the item list.
Additionally, you can use the available Item Filter options to refine the results:
All – Displays all items.
Mapped – Shows only items that already have Unicode mapping.
Unmapped – Shows items without Unicode mapping.
Migration – Displays items pending or involved in migration-related mapping.
Use these filters to quickly identify and manage the required items for Unicode configuration.
Note:
Clicking All will display all items.
Clicking Mapped will display only the items that already have Unicode mapping.
Clicking Unmapped will display only the items without Unicode mapping.
Clicking Migration will display only the migrated items.
Use these filter options to quickly identify and manage the required items.
Open Google Translate and enter the English item name to obtain the desired translation.
Once the correct translation is displayed, copy the translated text for use in the Unicode Mapping screen.
Paste the copied translated text into the Local Name field corresponding to the English item name.
Note: If you are viewing under All Mapped Items, the updated Unicode names will be displayed in the list once saved.
Note: If you select Unmapped Items, only the items without Unicode mapping will be displayed.
After entering the translated Local Name and saving, those items will move from the Unmapped list to the Mapped list.
Note: If you select Mapped Items, only the items that already have a saved Unicode (Local Name) mapping will be displayed.
You can review or modify the translated names from this list if required.
Click the Save and Send button to save your changes and transmit the Unicode mapping details to the selected outlets.
Note:
Click Reset to refresh the screen.
Click Send All to Outlets to push all item Unicode details to every outlet.
Select the required Outlet from the list to which the Unicode mapping details should be sent.
Click the Send button to complete the process and push the Unicode mapping details to the selected outlets.
A confirmation message will appear stating “All items have been successfully sent to the chosen outlets.”, indicating that the Unicode mapping details have been transmitted successfully.
To verify whether the Item Unicode mappings are successfully synchronized from HQ to the outlet POS, follow the steps below.
Navigate to Tools > Business Intelligence > Unicode Map.
To view the list of mapped items:
Select the Mapped radio button to display only items with Unicode mapping.
Ensure that the Item option is selected next to the Language choice to view item-level Unicode mappings correctly.
