Easy Print - Value Based Printers Settings FAQ's

  1. What are value-based settings in the Easy Print?
    A value-based setting is used to route the document to various printers based on values/field results.

  2. How many print profiles have to be created to configure 4 different classifiers?
    With the help of one print profile, you can configure 4 different classifiers.

  3. Do Value-Based Printer settings supports Details Section?
    Yes, the Value-Based Printer setting is supported by Details Section.

  4. Secondary printers can be added through the default configuration screen?
    No, you can not add the secondary printer through the default configuration screen.

  5. A printer that is configured as a secondary printer can be deleted or renamed?
    Yes, you can delete or rename the secondary printer.

  6. What is Defined Field values?
    Defined Field values are those values that are already created in the Masters. They get listed from the Masters. For example: TableId

  7. What is Undefined Field Values?
    Undefined Field values are those values that need to be added manually based on the printer configuration.

  8. Can you add more than one printer to a print profile?
    Yes, you can add more than one print profile to a printer.

  9. Can you copy and paste the print settings of a printer to another printer?
    Yes, you can copy and paste the print settings of a printer to another printer.

  10. What are the different ways of Deleting the Settings?
    You can delete the setting by clicking Delete Setting and by pressing the DELETE key after selecting the particular settings. 

  11. What is the difference between the deletion of settings by clicking Delete Setting and by pressing the DELETE key?
    You can delete all the configured settings of a printer by clicking Delete Setting, but you can delete a particular configured setting among the many settings through the DELETE key.
    Note: To delete a particular configured setting among the multiple settings, select one and press the DELETE key. The selected setting gets strike-off.

  12. Can you clear the settings of a printer?
    Yes, you can clear the settings of a Printer.

  13. How can you identify the configured printer and non-configured printer?
    The configured printer gets displayed in blue color while the non-configured printer gets displayed in default color (black).

  14. How to display the Undefined fields?
    By selecting the option Show Undefined Fields, you can get the lists of undefined fields.

  15. Are there any conditions that need to be taken care of while entering the values in the Undefined Fields?
    Yes, the given points mentioned below should be taken care of while entering the values in the undefined fields:
    • The exact Field name should be mentioned in the Enter The Field Values.
    • To enter more than one value using ',' (comma) in between the two fields.

  16. How to search a Field?
    You can search the field by entering the field name in Field Search.

  17. What are Conditional Statements?
    Conditional Statements are those statements which give a valid output after verifying and validating the conditions only, else it gives no output even after the inputs.

  18. What are the conditional statements in the Easy Print?
    The following conditional statements given below are available in the Easy Print
    - Equal In Each Field Value
    - Not Equal In Each Field Value
    - Equal In Any One Field Value

  19. What is Equal In Each Field Value condition? Explain with an example?
    Equal In Each Field Value helps you to generate the bill only when the given condition is satisfied.
    For example - If you have configured a certain Table (table number 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25) for OrderType Dine-In, then in such condition the printer will generate the bill print only when both the conditions (Dine-In and Specific Table) are fulfilled.

  20. What is Not Equal In Each Field Value condition? Explain with an example?
    Not Equal In Each Field Value helps you to generate the bill in the conditions apart from given conditions for the configured printers.
    For example - If you have configured for certain Table (table number 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25) for Order Type Dine-In, then in such condition the printer will generate the bill print apart from the condition mentioned (that is except any of the table number 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25; and Order Type - Dine In).

  21. What is Equal In Any One Field Value? Explain with an example?
    Equal In Any One Field Value helps you to generate the bill if anyone of the given condition is satisfied.
    For example - If you have configured the printer for certain Tables (table number 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25) for Order Type Dine-In, then in such condition the printer will generate the bill print if any one of the condition gets satisfied.
