What is Value Based Setting in Easy Print tool?

  • Value-Based Setting: 

    A value-based setting is used to route the document to various printers based on values/field results.
    Let's take a business scenario, 
            A restaurant has 3 kitchens (Main Kitchen, Mocktail, and Pizza) for different food items, drinks, and fast foods. The restaurant manager wants to configure the printer in such a way that each ordered item taken by steward through ServJoy or RPOS should get printed in respective kitchens.
           To achieve this scenario please follow the steps given below:
    1. Multiple Printer Configuration: It is used to configure more than one printer into a single print profile as secondary printers. For more detail on the Multiple Printers configuration, see Multiple Printer Configuration
    2. Field Value-based printer setting: This printer setting helps in routing the documents to printers in the kitchen. For more detail on Field Value-based setting, see Field Value-based printer setting
    3. The Field List in Field Value-based printer setting is classified into two types
      • Defined: It lists the values that is created in the master. Users can select the values from the list. For more detail on the defined field, see Easy Print - Defined Field
      • Undefined: It does not list the values from the master. Users have to enter the values manually. For more detail on the undefined field, see Easy Print - Undefined Field
    4. Field value-based printer setting supports the Header/Footer Section and Detail/Tax Section.
    5. Conditional Statements and Others: Conditional features are used for printing the print profile with different conditions. The Others comprises of Copy Settings, Paste Settings, Delete Settings, Clear Row, Listing - Based on Categories and Field Search.
