A delivery charge is a cost incurred during transporting or delivering the products to the consumer. E-commerce businesses collect the charges from the customers and the same will be displayed to the customers at the time of placing the order in their online apps.
In order to help retailers charge a certain amount for delivering the products to the customers, we have provided Delivery charges feature in OrderEasy app.
Let us see how you can configure delivery charges based on order amount in OrderEasy app.
Step 2: Go to Configuration -> Delivery configuration
Step 3: Configure the delivery charge for certain order range.
a) Click on "Add".
b) You can see the various fields such as description, Min & Max order value, Delivery charge, Tax%, Inclusive or Exclusive and Active/Inactive status.
c) Based on your business type and requirement, set the order range(Min & Max order value), mention the delivery charge, Tax amount and type in the fields and click on Save.
Note:
1. You can mention the tax % and choose Tax type as Inclusive or Exclusive.
For example, if you choose the Tax % as 5 and the type as Exclusive, then the tax amount will be added to the delivery charge. In this case, the customer will have to pay Rs 52.5 i.e Rs 50 + 2.5(Tax amount exclusive).
2. If you want to deactivate the delivery charge, you can toggle the status from "Active" to "Inactive"
Step 4: You can add multiple delivery charges for different order range by clicking on "Add".
For example, if you want to charge Rs 30 for order range between Rs 501 - 1000 and provide free delivery for the order value more than 1000, you can configure by following the same steps.
